Western Willet

This bird looks pretty drab when standing but when it flies you get this flash of white on the wings – pretty cool. This is the East side of the Baylands on the salt marshes. June 2013

Moorhen

There a lots of moorhens around the Baylands – here is one out of the water. I was expecting webbed feet like ducks, so was surprised when I saw these feet with folds. June 2013

Wrentit

These little birds hang out round the fennel forest at the Baylands. They are social birds and play follow the leader when flitting from bush to bush. June 2013
